What does 'paid in advance' mean traditionally?

When an employer pays a salary before or on the last day of the pay period, this is known as an 'Advance' payroll.

Example: John Smith's pay period runs from 1st – 31st July and is paid on 25th July.

What does 'paid in advance' mean when using Wagestream?

When using Wagestream, since you are able to access your wages as you earn them, any wages streamed between 1st — 24th July will instantly be deposited into your bank account. Your remaining net salary will be paid on 25th July as normal. This salary includes wages from shifts not yet worked during 25th - 31st July.

Streaming is then disabled from payday until the end of the pay period and will resume when the new pay period begins.

Example: Streaming for John Smith is disabled on 25th July and will resume on 1st August.
