How Is My Salary Affected If I'm Paid in Advance?
What does 'paid in advance' mean traditionally?
When an employer pays a salary before or on the last day of the pay period, this is known as an 'Advance' payroll.
Example: John Smith's pay period runs from 1st – 31st July and is paid on 31st July.
What does 'paid in advance' mean when using Wagestream?
When using Wagestream, since you are able to access your wages as you earn them, any wages that you stream between 1st — 31st July will instantly be deposited into your bank account. Your remaining net salary will be paid on 31st July as normal.
Streaming is then disabled from payday until the end of the pay period and will resume when the new pay period begins.
Example: Streaming for John Smith will be disabled on 31st July and will resume on 1st August.
